“You had me at hello” — Jerry Maguire
We are now in Week 5 of our current cycle. This week will be a brief mid-cycle deload in order to give the body a little break from the heavy loading. As per usual, we will still have challenging workouts, some fun progressions, and some specific strength sessions, but the overall loading and volume will decrease this week before we go into the next block which will consist of another 3 week build, 1 week deload, then our test week for the cycle.
Monday we are going to say we were “Born on the 4th of July” as we take on a very American-style workout that has lots of rowing, and rounds of thrusters, double unders, and toes to bar.
Tuesday, “Top Gun” is going to challenge our lungs as we have running, pull ups, and dual DB suitcase lunges.
Wednesday, there is gonna be some “Risky Business” happening at the gym considering we have strict HSPU, plate ground to overheads, box jump overs, and deadlifts.
Thursday, we’ll be serving you a “Cocktail,” not the one you like though, sorry. We will be serving you some rowing, farmers carries, biking, sandbag carries, and some banded ski pulls. YUM!
Friday we have “Collateral” which is a simple couplet of hang power cleans and bar facing burpees… Oh, and the reps are ascending.
Saturday we have another Hero WOD called “Ill Mills.” This one includes rowing, American KBS, push ups, wall balls, and pull ups.
