With August in full swing, we are jumping right into next week to get our dose of fitness. Let’s get to it!Monday starts with lifting the barbell overhead, practicing a jerk complex of 1 push jerk plus 1 split jerk. Then we move on to it’s “Always Sunny” with a 12 minute EMOM of single arm dumbbell shoulder to overhead, burpees to a 6 inch target, dual kettlebell muscle snatch and dubz. Tuesday will be our fast and furious squat day where it seems like there is no rest :) We start out with an EMOM 6 of front squats, then hit our 15 rep back squat. Then look to finish Tuesday out with “Chardee Mac Dennis” a 5 rounder of toes to bar, hang power cleans and front rack barbell walking lunges. Wednesday will be a longer cardio day with a challenging pace filled with intervals of rowing and running called “The Nightman Cometh”. On Thursday, we are working on our gymnastic skill/strength with muscle up practice again. Then building in some pulling volume with heavy deadlifts every minute on the minute while completing strict pull ups in “Charlie Work”. For Friday, we will work on snatch technique/strength with snatch balance plus overhead squat complex. Then finish with “The D.E.N.N.I.S. System”; a 2 round WOD of bike for calories, power clean and push jerk, air squats and power snatch. Saturday finishes out the week with another fun partner workout called “The Gang”. This a 2 round for time partner WOD of synchro wall walks, rowing, dumbbell step-overs and a 200 meter partner barbell carry.
