Greetings.Thank you for making the Open so much fun, y’all. We hope you had a blast. We know we did. We have a special event this Saturday, April 17th. This is a fundraiser for women and girls in sports and science. Check out @claire_barbellmedicine on the Instawebs. She put this whole thing together. We just want to make it easy for anyone to participate. Simply put, we are opening the gym between 12pm - 2pm so people can come get their deadlift on. Pledge towards your own lift, ask some friends to pledge for yours, or pledge for someone else’s lift. The link to sign up is in our bio. This is a fun and beautiful event, not a competition. Here’s what the week has in store!On Monday we have “Everything Hurts.” This lil chipper has a bit of everything… rowing, kettlebell swings, push-ups, jumping pull-ups, KB snatches, and clapping push-ups. Tuesday will turn you “Inside Out.” This is a 12-minute AMRAP with a reverse lunge and overhead squat complex and some over-unders. On Wednesday we have “Holy Oly.” Here we are finding our 5-rep, 3-rep, and 1-rep maxes for clean & jerk. Thursday is going to get “Toes-ty.” This has 3 rounds of dubz, running, and toes-to-bar. Friday brings us to “The Plate Depression.” This features ascending reps of plate squats, anchored plate sit-ups, and plate carries. That brings us to Saturday. Here we have “Bodily Farm.” This starts with 3 rounds of deadlifts and single-arm DB push jerks followed by a nice little farmer carry.
