Hello Desert Devils!
We are now heading into Week 7 of our cycle. We are getting into the meat of the intensification phase of this cycle, so you will see some more challenging movement combinations, high skills, increased loading, etc. With that said, let’s dive right into it.
Monday we have some booty gaining back squat strength work to start the day off and then…. Shh! “Listen Up Linda!”… and then we have double unders, wall balls, and toes to bar. Did you hear that, Linda?
Tuesday we will once again be working on our plyometrics, then finding a heavy clean (not dirty) complex for the day, then some doing some gymnasty work, and THEN doing “Put it in reverse Terry” which includes burpee ring muscle ups and cleans. That’s a lot for one day! Whew!
Wednesday! Have you ever heard of the “Cinnamon Challenge”? If you haven’t, stop what you’re doing and YouTube it cuz that’s what we’re doing on Wednesday!… Well, not quite, this version has a fairly long run, lunges, push-ups, more lunges, and some rowing. Definitely not as hard as the OG Cinnamon Challenge lol
Thursday we will do some more fun jumping stuff and then put some “Mentos in Coke” for an explosion of fun! We will be doing dual DB deadlifts, dual DB shoulder to overhead, and……. Drumroll please……. The bike!
Friday, let’s see what we have…. Oh! “What in Tarnation!” We have pull ups, box jump overs, burpees, overhead squats, MORE burpees, MORE box jump overs and MORE pull ups! The name is so fitting!
Finally on Saturday, if you’ve never seen him, this is the day to come. The “Keyboard Cat” will be playing his tunes as we tackle a partner WOD that includes running, sumo deadlift high pulls, thrusters, and double unders.
