The month of August is here and we have an awesome month of training ahead of us. This month’s focus is project muscle up which includes pullup and midline madness. As usual we have built in strength days consisting of a 3 rep back squat, 1 rep clean & jerk, power snatch work and deadlifts.
Get ready to start Monday off with rowing, power snatches and lateral burpees over the bar all at timed intervals creating the “Perfect Storm”. Tuesday we will see our first strength session of the month; looking to build to a 1 rep squat clean & jerk. On Wednesday, “Dubstep” tasks us to get in some unilateral leg strength with weighted step ups and double unders. Then on Thursday get ready for a quick couplet that will send you “Head Over Heels” with pullups and handstand pushups. For Friday don’t set off that “Lunk Alarm” while building to a 3 rep back squat then 4 rounds of back squats, kettlebell carries and kettlebell hang power cleans. Saturday closes out the week of training with “DG”. This 10 minute AMRAP hero workout consists of toes to bar, dumbbell thrusters and dumbbell walking lunges.
