Happy 2020 everyone, we are looking forward to another great year with you all! We have some really great things in store for this year and we cannot wait to see what this new year brings! We will start the first full week of training with “Grim Reaper”, which is two AMRAP 5 with a 5 minute rest in between, the first AMRAP will be descending rep scheme of overhead squats and toes to bar then the second AMRAP will be thrusters and chest to bar pullups. Tuesday, we have a power clean focus which we will start with building to a heavy set of two of a pausing power clean which we will pause at the knee and then in the catch position. “Zoolander” is an AMRAP 15 of double unders, power cleans and lateral barbell burpees. We will roll into Wednesday with two rounds of this three-movement workout called “Airplane Mode.” Movements include calories on the bike, a 1k row and wallballs. “iMax” comes in on Thursday with some barbell technique and strength in the push jerk. We will start with building to a heavy set of 2 of a pausing push jerk then hit the workout of 5 rounds starting every 3 minutes of slamballs, box jumps and push jerks. Friday we are honoring Blake Martson, a Navy SEAL with a Hero WOD called “Martson.” This is an AMRAP 20 of 1 deadlift, 10 toes to bar and 15 lateral barbell burpees. Saturday’s big class workout is called “Bike Drop”. In this team of 3 workout we will have calories on the assault bike and then descending rep scheme of power snatches and thrusters, but with each round completed the barbell weight increases over the five rounds.
