No better way to start the week of with MACHO, MACHO MAN. We will be focusing on barbell cycling with building to a heavy complex of 3 power cleans, 3 front squats and 3 push jerks for a strength piece then roll into “Randy Savage,” an AMRAP of 3 rounds of “Macho Man” and 15 toes to bar. Tuesday looks different by ditching the weight and hitting a big machine and body weight cardio focus day. “Sea Horse,” is 3 rounds for time of calories on the assault bike, rowing, running and burpees. Going overhead on Wednesday with a strength piece of building to a heavy overhead squat with a 3 second pause. Then “Double Jointed,” comes in which consists of an AMRAP of overhead squats, double unders, deadlifts and moooooreeeeee double unders. Thursdays grunt work is “Old MacDonald” 5 rounds of farmers carries, ab mat sit-ups and wreck bag over the shoulder. Fridays “Singled Out,” workout looks a lot like “fight gone bad.” You will work for 5 minutes, with every minute being a different movement, then get a minute rest before hitting it again 2 more times. You’ll be wall balling, dumbbell snatching, box jumping, dumbbell clean and jerking and rowing for calories to try and get as many reps as possible. Our Saturday workout is “Smash Mouth,” 3 rounds of a longer run, calories on the assault bike and then 3 rounds of the “Bergeron Beep Test.” (7 thrusters, 7 pullups, 7 burpees.)
Looking forward to another week of fitness and fun! Let’s get after it!
