Week one of The Open is behind us and wow, what a lung burner that was. We loved seeing everyone get involved in the pajama theme, from slippers, to robes, to pillows and even women’s sexy negligees, you all are making this so much fun! Remember we will have weekly themes and this week will be “all one color.” Team Waffle you are RED and Team Pancake you are Yellow. Bring the Syrup!
We will start off our week with “Point Break,” this AMRAP has strict pullups, dumbbell hang clean and jerks and AbMat situps or if you didn’t get the chance to do 20.1 on Friday and Saturday may complete that. “Childs Play,” will sneak up on us on Tuesday where you will complete 3 rounds for time of thrusters, deadlifts and double unders, but first we will build to a heavy set of 3 thrusters. Wednesday, we will have a sprint interval workout in teams of 3 with one person working at a time. This AMRAP includes calories on the assault bike, slamballs and shuttle runs. Thursday will be our GOAT day. For the next 4 weeks during the Open, we will run these Goat Days. Since we do not know what movements will come out for Friday’s workout, this is an opportunity for athletes to choose what they would like to. Fridays Open workout 20.2 will be announced Thursday night as well as Saturdays workout as well.
