Hope everyone’s weekend was everything they needed because it’s the start of a new week and we have some fun stuff programmed! Hope you’re hungry because we Monday starts with “Beef Jerky” which is an AMRAP with kettlebell swings, reverse lunges and push jerks. Before our metcon we will have a push jerk strength piece where you will find a heavy set of 3 from the rack. Tuesday we are only hitting 1/3 of Destiny’s Child with the WOD “Kelly Rowland.” This for time workout has 3 rounds of “Kelly” which is running box jumps and wallballs sandwiched between calories on the rower. “Ninja Turtle,” is set for Wednesday. We’ve got chest to bar, toes to bar, deadlifts and calories on the bike every 4 minutes for 5 rounds. We can scale up to muscle ups instead of chest to bar pullups during this one. Thursday gets spicy with “Runny Nose.” This is a 3-person team workout with a 30 minute time cap of back squats, wreck bag runs, bench press and hang power cleans. Friday hits us with “Cool Whip,” which has 3 rounds of calories on the rower and double unders which moves directly into 3 rounds of dumbbell snatches and lateral dumbbell burpees. Saturday’s workout has a fun twist on DT. We’ve got 5 rounds of 200m run and then DT with a little lighter barbell. Can’t wait to see everyone put in work this week and have some fun!
FROM COMPTRAIN MINDSET:
“I would rather die of passion than boredom.” – Vincent Van Gogh
Certain times will challenge us. Certain times will leave doubts. Certain times will leave us beat up, worn out, exhausted. Sometimes to the point where we question the choices we’ve made. But truly… how awful would life be without them?
Uncertainty is pure gold. It’s what makes us feel alive, and it’s what memories are made of. No one remembers the lazy Sunday at home. They remember their first date. The first time they went on a roller coaster. The first time they walked into a CrossFit gym.
If everything was known, expected and pre-determined, life would be so horribly boring. It wouldn’t be a life at all. With only one of these, let’s welcome it, and make memories we’re proud of. We wouldn’t want it any other way.
