BEEP BEEP. Starting off another great week with “Eighteen wheeler.” This AMRAP 18 has calories on the assault bike, wall balls, dumbbell snatches and toes to bar with a rep scheme that is meant for you to get the work done for each movement in 2-3 sets. Tuesday is a two-part power clean focus that has you building to a heavy hang power clean + power clean for our strength portion. Then we will move on to “Power Ranger,” which will have you grinding through power cleans and running which will both decrease with each round. “Slap Happy,” makes an appearance on Wednesday which is a 3 part AMRAP 5 with 5 minute rests in between. You will buy into each AMRAP with 100 dubs and then complete front squats and burpee box jumps. That one is going to be spicy! Thursdays workout is for all you deadlifters out there. We will build to a heavy set of 5 deadlifts for our first part of class then follow it up with “Tail Lights,” which will be a 3 person team workout with a 25 min time cap. We are chipping away at deadlifts and prowler pulls as weight on the deadlifts increase. Friday comes in hot with our FREE FRIDAY so invite your friends to come workout for FREE! We will all be working as a FULL class with “Deck of Cards.” You’ll find out more when you get here 😉 Saturday finishes off the week with a “Gut Check”. In this second team of 3 workout this week look forward to an assault bike buy in then directly into toes to bar, box jump overs and thruster that increase in weight.
FROM COMPTRAIN MINDSET:
“You’ve got to get up every morning with determination if you’re going to go to bed with satisfaction.” — George Lorimer
“Win the morning, win the day” is something we’ve all heard once or twice before.
It’s less however about winning the morning, and more about establishing the right habits. The most successful in life routinely draw back to a core staple of set daily habits.
Write a short list of healthy habits you believe push you forward. It could be reading, journaling, “no phone hours”, or anything in between. Where consistency is king, discipline is freedom.
