For this week’s overview of December 3rd through the 8th we “Jump Start” Monday off with a chipper style workout where athletes will work through four different movements of Double Unders, Dumbbell Snatches, Calorie Row and Toes to Bar. Then Tuesday we’re going to build to a heavy Push Jerk then without any “Down Time” switch to a short AMRAP of increasing reps for each round of Deadlifts, Hang Power Cleans and Push Jerks. On Wednesday, “Rugrats” is a triplet workout where athletes will work through three movements of Burpee Box Jump Overs, Dumbbell Front Squats and Assault Bike possibly leaving you crawling around when you finish. For Thursday you might feel like the character in the arcade video game “Frogger” after completing this Row for calories and Shuttle Runs. Friday’s session takes on a partner version of the classic CrossFit benchmark workout “Team Barbara” of Pull-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups and Air Squats with an AMRAP twist. Additionally, this Friday will be a “Free Class Friday”, this is an opportunity for our members to bring in friends or family with no CrossFit experience who may be interested in trying a class. Saturday’s workout “Mountain Man” is a high volume lightish weight of Power Snatches, Running and Thrusters.

How often do we see a friend start a goal, only to fall off in a matter of weeks (maybe days)?
Goals can’t change us. They can’t even move us.
Reasons are what wakes us up in the morning. Reasons are what drives us to go the extra mile. Reasons are what get us back to our feet, after we’ve been knocked down so hard, we don’t know our left from right.
It won’t be the easy times that define us – it will be the hard.
As we enter our day, let’s focus on why, truly why, we do the things we do. Not the what(the goal), but the true why. Goals can be beaten. Reasons, when true, are impenetrable.
