Hope everyone’s Thanksgiving weekend was spent well with family, friends and food.
For this week’s overview of November 26th through the December 1st there are four days this week that has AMRAP style workouts. We start Monday off FRESH with “Freedom Sauce”; and no that’s not leftovers from Thanksgiving. In this four part AMRAP 3 workout there are Overhead Squats, Burpees Over the Rower and Rowing for Calories. The first AMRAP starts with weight that is lower and reps that are higher moving towards heavier weight and lower reps. On Tuesday “Criss Cross”(sic) will make you jump! Another AMRAP style workout involving Dubz, Power Cleans and Toes To Bar. The goal here is to be able cycle the moderately weighted Power Cleans and perform the Toes To Bar with good mechanics after each set of Dubz. With Wednesday’s session “Last Call” there are three movements, three teammates, and three AMRAPs. Each athlete will get a chance to Bench Press, Hang Squat Clean and Deadlift before each these short AMRAPs end. Then Thursday’s “Arm Candy” triplet workout will definitely challenge the grip and arms while riding the Assault Bike, performing Burpees and Farmers Carries. On Friday don’t get “Sore Eyes” from this AMRAP 20 of Wallballs,Power Snatches, Box Jumps, Push Presses and Row for Calories in this longer, high-rep workout. Finally, on Saturday we hope you have a “Clean House”. After this five each four minute long rounds of Running, Pullups, Pushups, Air Squats and Squat Cleans you will need the rest. 😎
“If you want to be truly successful at it, you cannot be content with pretty good.” – Tim Grover
Pretty good is decent.
Pretty good is average.
Pretty good, checks the box.
Pretty good is the enemy of excellent.
How we do anything, is how we do everything. And there is nothing in life worth doing half-assed. Although we recognize the truth behind that statement, every single one of us can improve on this. To refine this habit – to truly blast through “good enough”.
What actions this week have been “pretty good”? Are they coming around our way this week, perhaps today, for a second round?
