Hope everyone had a great weekend and father’s day. We did. With changing the time at the gym we are able to get a few more things done on Saturdays so that is nice. Got my shopping done early and didn’t have to deal with craziness on Sunday.
Two things I want to mention this week. First, is the continuation of keeping it simple. This week I pretty much did the same as last week just a little different on the seasonings. Chicken thighs and chicken breast. I marinated the thighs in a citrus vinaigrette and put them on the grill. Then I baked the breasts in the oven with mushrooms. For veggies I had summer squash, zucchini, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. I just made two different batches with different seasoning. Also made a pork tenderloin with citrus seasonings. That came out pretty good as well. So not a whole lot different with the regular meal planning.
The new info I wanted to share with you is my fail for the weekend. Sunday we went to Bosque for lunch for Father’s day. I knew my Macros and calories were going to be low because I had only had 1 meal before we went and I usually have 2 meals by that time of the day.
That being said I decided to have a burger with side veggies ( not fries ?). It was good. We hung out the rest of the afternoon. Towards the end of the evening I realized I hadn’t logged anything for the day in my fitness pal. I type in Kobe beef 6 oz, and almost freaking choked!!!! My 6 oz of meat had a whopping 397 grams of fat!!!! That is almost 6 days of my fat intake! What?!?!?! Are you kidding me?! Sooooo, I had a hard lesson there my friends. Know what you are getting into and if you are not sure try to log and check before you order.
I was able to manage my overall calories for the day but my Macros were pretty much shot for the day. All I have to say is I hope all that extra fat helps me out with those squats!!!!!!!!!
Keeping my head up and on track today is a new day to straighten out those macro numbers and keep my week on track.
So two points here for you all;
- If you aren’t sure, try to log it and check first ?
- Don’t let one boo-boo derail you. Just get right back on the wagon, get on track and move forward
Stay consistent keep your eyes on the prize.
Cheers to happy healthy eating!
