Well Hello there!
Sorry I have been MIA for a couple of weeks. I actually forgot it was Monday AND Tuesday last week Sorry 4:30 class! I know pretty bad huh?
I hope everyone had a great spring break and did all the fun stuff. We had a great week here at the gym and finished off the CrossFit Open with a bang. Everyone brought delicious food; had a lot of fun and watched the the newest movie from CrossFit, Fittest on Earth: A Decade of Fitness. These movies are always so motivational. I like them because it puts a little more human perspective on these amazing athletes.
The last time I wrote I talked about Macros. Our Macro nutrients and getting the correct ratio of them to best suit our needs. Well, how do we determine what we need as an individual? The answer lies in what are our need/or goals. Our requirements are a bit different if you are looking to get to a specific lean body percent or if you are focusing on performance. Maybe you are looking to put on some muscle mass, your requirements would be much different. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE you are one that has been in a caloric deficit for along time and are struggling to lose those pounds that just keep hanging on even though you feel like you are doing all the right things… (eating less right????)……
Well, my friends eating less isn’t always the way to go. This is where we get into what is good nutrition.
Good nutrition gives us the nutrients we need. It controls our energy balance so we can stay healthy, fit and strong and is sustainable for us and our beautiful planet.
So we have the ability to achieve good nutrition within many diets as long as we are focusing on the quality of the food we are eating and the variety of food we are eating to make sure we are getting enough of the micro nutrients we need……………………………………….. TBC……… 🙂
